Week 3 NFL TV Schedule – Sponsored by this Piece of Hot Garbage

redskins fan

Don’t get me wrong. I’m not like PC Principal, bruh. However, even I draw the line at assclowns like this sorry excuse for a motherfucker. The Redskins are a sorry enough franchise as it is. I guess sometimes it provides some good comedy but shit like this has to stop. Totally ridiculous. I mean it’s bad enough to be a Redskins fan…

Anyway, time to look at the schedule for this Sunday. If anyone watched that terrible game last night you missed an absolutely crazy college game over on TSN2. To be perfectly honest, I am tiring of the NFL Thursday nighter (as I have mentioned before). Most of the time, the games are crap. We had been lucky the first two weeks with the calibre of teams and the endings of those games. But you had to know that this would end and the Giants and Redskins (moreso the Redskins) provided that ending.

Alright, here’s the schedule:

Sunday
1:00 Cincinnati at Baltimore No TV
1:00 New Orleans at Carolina No TV
1:00 Oakland at Cleveland No TV
1:00 Atlanta at Dallas FOX (BC, Alberta, Western Ontario, K-W/Cambridge, Guelph, Ottawa-Gatineau)/CTV (Vancouver, Alberta, Saskatchewan)
1:00 Tampa Bay at Houston No TV
1:00 San Diego at Minnesota CBS (Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Northwestern Ontario, Northern Ontario, Western Ontario, K-W/Cambridge, Guelph, Ottawa-Gatineau)/CTV (Winnipeg)
1:00 Jacksonville at New England CBS (Golden Horseshoe, GTA, Eastern Ontario (except Ottawa), Quebec, Eastern Canada)/CTV (Northern Ontario, Kitchener, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Atlantic)/CKPR (Thunder Bay)
1:00 Philadelphia at NY Jets FOX (Northern Ontario, Golden Horseshoe, GTA, Eastern Ontario (except Ottawa), Quebec)
1:00 Pittsburgh at St. Louis CBS (BC, Alberta)/TSN4
1:00 Indianapolis at Tennessee No TV
4:05 San Francisco at Arizona FOX (Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Northwestern Ontario, Eastern Canada)/CTV2 (Vancouver Island, Alberta, Windsor, London, Toronto, Ottawa)
4:25 Buffalo at Miami CBS (Golden Horseshoe, GTA, Eastern Ontario (except Ottawa), Quebec, Eastern Canada)/CTV (Northern Ontario, Kitchener, Toronto, Ottawa)/CTV2 (Atlantic)/CKPR (Thunder Bay)
4:25 Chicago at Seattle CBS (BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Northwestern Ontario, Northern Ontario, Western Ontario, K-W/Cambridge, Guelph, Ottawa-Gatineau)/CTV (Vancouver, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Winnipeg, Montreal)
8:30 Denver at Detroit NBC/TSN1/TSN3/TSN4/TSN5
Monday
8:30 Kansas City at Green Bay TSN1/TSN3/TSN4/TSN5

At this point the schedule for CITL (out of Lloydminster…two provinces, bruh) is not set for the weekend. You can be pretty sure by the end of the day they will have some information up. My guess is they will follow what is being shown on CTV Saskatchewan but that’s not a guarantee.

As for the schedule itself, there are a few good games on it. Wait, scratch that, most of them aren’t very good. For every good team in a game, their opponent seems to be a much weaker team. Hence we get New England hosting Jacksonville, Denver playing Detroit, and Dallas playing Atlanta (although Atlanta seems better than many thought they’d be and the Cowboys have Brandon Weeden). Five games don’t make it to TV in Canada (without Sunday Ticket or RedZone) and it shows how regional NFL fandom has become in Canada. Cincinnati-Baltimore, which could be a good game, is being shown nowhere because both teams don’t really have a fanbase here in Canada. Pittsburgh goes to St. Louis is shown here because there are quite a few Steeler fans (at least in southern Ontario). Basically the AFC North (except Pittsburgh), AFC South, and NFC South are rarely shown up here. It is what it is so if you are a big-time Jacksonville Jaguars fan, tough shit. Buy the package or fuck off (is what CTV and TSN are telling you).

Pro-Line Picks of Disaster

Just so you understand, these picks are straight up, not against the spread. I’m bad enough just picking winners so to go against the spread would make me look even worse. Alright, here we go:

Baltimore over Cincinnati (mini-upset)

New Orleans over Carolina

Oakland over Cleveland

Dallas over Atlanta

Houston over Tampa Bay

Minnesota over San Diego

New England over Jacksonville

NY Jets over Philadelphia

Pittsburgh over St. Louis

Indianapolis over Tennessee

Arizona over San Francisco

Miami over Buffalo

Seattle over Chicago

Denver over Detroit

Green Bay over Kansas City

Just one time. One time I would love to win. I wouldn’t gamble for at least two or three weeks after that.

Update for college football fans (and I will put this on the college schedule as well). Boise State-Virginia is still not appearing anywhere for tonight. Online it shows up for both Bell Fibe and Satellite but I checked my guide (Fibe) this morning and it isn’t there. Typical Bell and Rogers crap that I hate dealing with. I am hoping it will appear at some point. There is even the possibility that the game will be on the specialty pack even if it doesn’t appear on the guide because the cable companies are like that.

  1. Until the team nickname changes (which it won’t), I will continue to call them the Redskins. Like you and most football fans here in North America, I am sick and tired of all the politically correct horseshit in this world. Enough is enough.

Here are my picks for Week Three:

Baltimore over Cincinnati (can’t see the Ravens starting 0-3)
    Carolina over New Orleans
    Oakland over Cleveland
Atlanta over Dallas (I could very well be wrong)
    Houston over Tampa Bay
    Minnesota over San Diego
    New England over Jacksonville
    N.Y. Jets over Philadelphia
    Pittsburgh over St. Louis
    Indianapolis over Tennessee
    Arizona over San Francisco
Buffalo over Miami (Bills @ Dolphins should be a great game to watch)
    Seattle over Chicago
Detroit over Denver (Denver’s defense won’t do enough to bail out Peyton on Sunday Night)
    Green Bay over Kansas City

    1. Oh for sure I am sick of the PC crap. It has gone way too far to the extreme. Saying that, the entire Redskins franchise is a joke and until Dan Snyder sells the team, it will continue to be that way.
As for your picks, they look good. I do worry about the Broncos in general since Peyton has looked very streaky to start the season. I don’t think Detroit is as bad as their 0-2 record indicates but I do see them falling to 0-3.
