Week 4 NFL TV Schedule – Sponsored by Ben Roethlisberger…see, I’m not such a bad guy after all…

ben-roethlisberger3

…well at least in comparison to the shitshow that’s been happening over the past few weeks.

OK so here is the NFL TV schedule for week 4:

Sunday
1:00 Carolina at Baltimore CBS (BC, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Kenora, Thunder Bay)/TSN2

8:30 New Orleans at Dallas NBC/TSN1/TSN3/TSN4/TSN5
Monday
8:30 New England at Kansas City TSN1/TSN3/TSN4/TSN5

As you can see, only two games that won’t be shown, both involving the NFL version of Triple-A teams.  Tampa heads to Pittsburgh.  Sorry to all the Steeler fans but at least you can take solace in the fact that your favourite team isn’t the reason no one will be able to watch this.  The other game is Miami and Oakland in London.  OK, this whole London experiment is starting to look like the Toronto Bills experiment…it has lead to some horrific games.  The schedule maker must shake his or her head when he ends up with this abomination.  And about 3 million people, tops, in the States can see this game unless they have RedZone or Sunday Ticket.  Can we just stop with this?  I don’t care if a game is in London or not.  The NFL will NEVER expand there unless they have a full division of European teams.  And besides, why does London get two games every year?  Football is way more popular in Germany and they never get an NFL game.  Makes no sense to me, but then again I’m not Roger Goodell (and thank god for that).

Picks

I went 13 for 16 last week.  Pretty damn impressive I must say and one of my better weeks although still not good enough to cash in with my ProLine ticket.  Maybe I can be at least a bit better this week.  I could sure use the money (although I guess most others who gamble on the NFL could too).

NY Giants over Washington

Baltimore over Carolina

Green Bay over Chicago

Houston over Buffalo

Indianapolis over Tennessee

Detroit over NY Jets

Miami over Oakland

Pittsburgh over Tampa Bay

San Diego over Jacksonville

Minnesota over Atlanta

San Francisco over Philadelphia

New Orleans over Dallas

New England over Kansas City

  1. I lost on last night’s game. So here I am shooting for second prize (12-1) this week.

Five differences between your picks and mine this week (four excluding last night’s game):

    Buffalo over Houston
    Oakland over Miami
Atlanta over Minnesota (I am a Vikings fan but don’t see them winning this week)
Kansas City over New England (Monday Night Upset)

Regarding London, they got three games this year. Much like Toronto, they will not get an NFL team. In fact, the only place where I can see the NFL going to (via relocation only) is Los Angeles. They will probably get the Rams starting next season (and possibly the Raiders as well).

    1. I can see any of those happening, however Oakland is brutal so if any of my picks are locks it’s probably that one.

Three games? Ridiculous. Sometimes I just don’t get why the NFL does what they do. Then again, they got so strong over the last two decades that when they mess up they seem to bounce back quickly. Only when the machine isn’t working so well and doesn’t have the market share of sports fans it does will huge changes come to the NFL.

  2. There’s a quarterback controversy brewing in Miami. If Ryan Tannehill plays another bad game on Sunday or if he is not starting against Oakland, then I can see things going quickly downhill for the Dolphins.
