A lot of choice and HOLY SHIT TSN STEPPED UP THIS WEEKEND! Three games on TSN2. THREE! Have the higher-ups at Bell finally figured out that there is an audience for college football in Canada and that if you don’t have anything else to show you might as well show that. If we can only get Rogers to figure that out. OK maybe I’m asking too much there. I am perplexed at the Arizona-USC game tonight. As far as I knew, it was an FS1 game which don’t show on SN360. Again, the powers-that-be at Sportsnet astound me with their choices sometimes. They show an FS1 game that starts at 10:30 when the ESPN game they would normally show (which is a more important game in my estimation) won’t be showing (which SN360 has the rights too). I am just shaking my head.
And now the specialty pack schedule:
Oh wait, as of right now Rogers has their schedule (which includes Rutgers-Louisville, SC State-NC Central (FCS) and Temple-Cincinnati over the next two nights) for this week on the specialty pack. As per usual, Bell lags behind. So far, no info past Friday night for the U.S. College Sports Package. Both Fibe and Satellite have the same games Rogers has tonight and tomorrow night but after that, nothing, nada, zilch. Chances are they will put it up tonight and I will provide another update. Until then I will quietly fume over their lack of foresight in college football scheduling.
Update: Sportsnet One has added Tulsa at UTEP at 8:00 pm. Not a great matchup per se, but at least Sportsnet is utilizing the contract they are being given. A small step in the right direction. And all of a sudden I notice Rutgers at Louisville has been added for tonight at 7:30 on TSN2! I really do not understand that but I welcome it for sure.
